Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy:

To equip my students with the knowledge they need to not only be a successful violinist/musician, but a well-rounded individual leaving the world a better place than it was before.

In order to achieve this, learning the fundamentals of how music is constructed and interpreted is a core focus. A basic understanding of music theory is paramount for any musician to be successful. Further, the basic violin techniques and foundation is important in achieving success tailored to students' needs.

All of my students will have a basic knowledge of music theory and fundamental concepts of violin techniques.

In short, my mission is to teach and mentor my students so that they have the necessary tools to teach themselves for a lifetime and share that learned knowledge with others. After all, sharing and giving back is what we do best.
